It is difficult to express the honor and humility I feel at being selected to lead this historic organization- Alamo Mission Chapter Daughters of The Republic of Texas – for the next two years. The task is awesome for me but I look at this Board and so many of our members who have come forth to serve and I realize what a strong team we have. Because of the recent events and legislation, we are in a crossroads for our organization – especially for us in San Antonio.
I have selected Community Connections as the theme for my term. I feel it is important to do what we have always done well – support our Alamo and our community. Because of our history, the strength of our membership, and our willingness to look proactively and with best practices in mind toward the future, I predict we will thrive for another 106 years and beyond.
